Materials

The main material of the foldable wire mesh stillage cage is high-tensile steel wire, commonly in diameters of 4.8 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, and 6.4 mm. The mesh openings are typically 50×100 mm, 100×100 mm, 50×50 mm, 50×25 mm, or 25×25 mm. The bottom structure is made of U-channel steel, which is produced by cold-rolling steel strip through a forming mill. The feet of the container are made with stamped steel plates—two stamped pieces welded together for each foot. The standard foot height is 100 mm, with some models available at 120 mm.
